Walter Joseph Culkin

Walter Joseph Culkin, A man with a heart of gold who was well respected because of his caring nature. Where to begin...He was born March 19th 1955 in Syracuse, New York to proud parents Edward and Dolores Culkin. He was the second oldest of seven children. He had many siblings, children, and grandchildren. He was a man with many stories to tell about his time in the Navy, from the places he traveled to the food and cultures he experienced. He wasn't one for doing what everyone else did. When visiting places all over the world he wanted to experience them as the people that lived there did. Later he began his career in a machine shop, eventually moving on to the other side of it in designing the tools and parts. His work was something he very much loved and enjoyed. He had a big family which I think was the most important thing to him. He was a wonderful Father, Papa, Brother, and Uncle. "Pops"  was the type of man that played so many roles in our lives. He was the kind of man that took very good care of his family, he did everything he could to make sure that we did not go without, while at the same time teaching us how to be strong and independent and to do for ourselves. He was the kind of man that loved to teach and pass on the knowledge he had and to do things the right way. His time with us wasn't nearly long enough. Sadly he passed away Sunday, February 3rd 2019. We will definitely cherish every moment and memory we were able to make together. You will be forever loved and missed.
