Timothy Crimmins Obituary

Timothy J. Crimmins 61, passed away tragically on March 16th, 2023, in Nederland, Colorado where he resided the last 4 years of his life.

Timmy was born on September 25th, 1961, to Jack and Patricia Crimmins in Point Pleasant, NJ. Timmy spent his rambunctious childhood alongside his siblings and spent a large portion of his adult life in Point Pleasant where he leaves behind many friends and family.

Shortly after having his two children, Kayla and Timothy Jr., Timmy and his family moved down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina where he continued his passion as a master mason. Timmy referred to himself as a “mason genius”, and he was not wrong. Timmy could build, fix, and move anything. He had the ability to create and make ordinary things breathtakingly beautiful. His closest family loves the idea that his middle initial ‘J’ stands for “Jack of all trades”. His proudest professional accomplishment was his involvement with moving the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The remains and traces of Timmy’s superior work are left all over that island and will surely outlast us all.

Timmy had the most generous of hearts. He made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. He was the kind of guy to light up a room with his infectious smile and adored to make people laugh. He was the true definition of a jokester (if you knew Tim, you know what we mean). His kind heart was a lover of music, animals, and a good time! His intelligence and bravery allowed him to excel in everything he pursued. He was an extremely talented artist in so many ways, and he passed on his talents to his son and granddaughter. Timmy loved his children more than words could describe, and he had a very special place in his heart for his granddaughter. Timmy was larger than life and it was only fitting that he died on the top of a mountain.

As part of his legacy, Timmy would want to remind everyone to always seek the positive and light, even in the hardest situations. There is always room for a joke and a laugh.

Timmy was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by so many. He was predeceased by both of his parents and is survived by his children Kayla Lynn Crimmins and Timothy Robert Crimmins, his granddaughter Addilynn Hazel Miller, his brothers Kevin Crimmins (Lori) and Sean Crimmins (Susan), his sister Marypat Downing, the mother of his children Donna Driscoll, daughter Abagail Johnson-Crimmins, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
