Mary Francis (Passarella) Closs
Obituary
Mary Francis Closs was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born on March 6th, 1933, in Spring Glen, Utah to Frank and Rose Passarella, she lived a full life of 88 years. Mary passed on February 3rd, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Mary was married to Dick Closs who passed January 30th, 1981. The two were married on June 28th, 1952. Dick was a mortgage lender, they spent time in Detroit and then settled back in Utah near family. Since his early passing she is finally able to join him.
Mary was very involved in her parish, St. Francis of Assisi in Orem, Utah until her departure to Colorado to be close to family. She enjoyed painting ceramics and made so many beautiful pieces. She loved her family, was devoted to her friends, and all considered her passionate, kind and welcoming.
Mary is survived by daughter Terry Campbell, son Chad Closs; six grandchildren: Cory, Ryan, Ann Marie, Justin, Chad, and Krista; and nine great-grandchildren: Whitney, Ainsley, Brynley, Tennyson, Charly, Brooks, Jolene, Liam and Avon Lee. She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
No formal service is currently planned. A mass and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
