Larry "Skeeter" Dwaine Klippert

June 28, 1967 ~ August 27, 2022 (age 55)


Larry Dwaine 'Skeeter" Klippert, 55 of Eaton, Colorado passed away suddenly August 27, 2022. "Skeeter" or LD to those who knew him, was born June 28,1967 to Larry Klippert and Mary Beth (Westlake) Klippert in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. By the time He started kindergarten his family had moved to Sterling, Colorado then later to Holyoke where he graduated from Holyoke High School in 1986 during Skeeters high school years he played football, basketball, baseball and was on the swim team. LD attended Pheonix Institute of Technology until 1987, then began his career with insulation eventually starting Rocky Mountain Insulators in January 2017 which he co-owned up until the time of his passing. 

Skeeter had a passion and a gift for photography, he also loved fishing and cooking especially BBQ. He was a Bronco's fan as well as the Rockies and Avalanche. He had married twice which blessed him with two stepsons Chazz Gregerson and Zakk (Kendria) Gregerson, as well as step grandchildren Braydan, Byron, and Brantley Gregerson. 

LD is survived by his father Larry (Donna) Klippert, of Holyoke, CO and mother Mary Beth Westlake Klippert of Colby, KS. Brothers: Jeff (Becky) Klippert of Colby, KS, Kevin (Trudy) Klippert of LaVista, NE, and David (Michelle) Peterson of Ault, CO. Sisters: Tracy (John) Koerperich of Salina, KS and Kathy Peterson of Berwyn, NE. Aunt Sandy (Rob) Stumpff and families, Uncle Darwin (Marilyn) Klippert and families. Nephews: Matthew Klippert, Austin Koerperich, Tyler Koerperich, Ryley Peterson, Kyle Peterson, and Tyler Peterson. Nieces: Shelby Klippert, Ashley Underwood, Alisha Klippert, Rachel Koerperich, Willow Hunt, Amanda Klippert, Samantha Klippert and Briteny Peterson. He is also survived by numerous great nephews and nieces, many friends.

Skeeter is proceeded in death by Grandparents Otto & Minnie Klippert and Mary Jean & Marvin Westlake as well as Skip Westlake, Joy Murphy and his best friend Jerry Streicher, and his two furry kids Kodiak and Mercedes. 

Skeeter will be greatly missed by his Family, Friends and Clients.
