Jay was born in Denver, Colorado.
Son of Alberta Gallegos-Vahling, Brother to Courtney Mills (niece Chloe Mills) Kimberly Vahling (nephew Peyton Vahling) and is proceeded in death by brother Michael V. Gallegos as well as brother-in-law Gregory R. Mills.
Jay graduated from Northglenn High School then continued his education to be come a Master Electrical Engineer. Because of his expertise he experienced several monumental projects including but not limited to UP Railroad, The Denver VA project (in which is crew was the final and finishing team) Sturgeon, Gaylord Resort, DIA, and Government at Buckley. He was an active union member.
Jay loved hockey espicallly HIS Chicago Blackhawks, Bandimere Speedway (Thunder Mountain),Tractor -pulls, Archery, Tasty wishbone chicken, Homemade pastries-he consumed himself and let us not forget Voodoo Ranger.
Jay leaves behind a son Brock Gallegos and a daughter Keleigh Barajas-Gallegos.
Jay will be missed by many who crossed his path with a stamp of approval of love and care. He leaves behind so many beautiful and fond memories. God bless him on his new journey of life. Amen
