Helen Bueno was born March 29th, 1935, in Fort Lupton, CO to Frank and Minnie Marquez. She gained her wings on March 27th, 2023, at Medical Center of the Rockies surrounded by her family. Helen married Felix Bueno on December 1954.
Helen was known for her love of John Wayne movies, listening to Spanish music tapes, driving, collecting knickknacks and jewelry. She was always helping friends and family with rides wherever they needed to go. She remained very independent doing housework, going shopping at the store and fixing herself some coffee every day. Helen was very resilient beating Covid-19 and pneumonia this past year.
Helen is survived by daughters; Rosalie Medina of Kersey, Veronica Bueno of Greeley, Louise Espinosa of La Salle and by her son Steven Bueno and stepchildren; Gloria, Victor and Christ Medina and many grand and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Richard, Toby and Victor Marquez, sisters; Bertha Pacheco and Elsie Marquez, son; Anthony Bueno, grandsons; Sammy Medina and Timothy Medina, son-in-law; Amadeo Median, stepchildren; Ron and Jerry Medina and close friend; Max Medina.
Her family and friends love her dearly and she will be missed. All family and friends will be welcome to remember Helen for a celebration of life on May 13th, 2023, at 12:00pm. Location will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Garden City, CO.
