Eric Thomas Hutchison

Eric Hutchison 73 of Fort Collins, Colorado

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to the historic Harmony School to continue Eric's support of the ministry he loved so much.

Eric Thomas Hutchison was born February 20, 1949, in Duarte, California and left this world on December 9, 2022, in Loveland, Colorado. He attended Duarte High School with his sister, Lura. She survives him. He then attended Azusa Pacific College where he met Cathy, his wife for 51 years. He and Cathy moved to Colorado in 1972 where they established their home and raised their 2 boys, Jason and Chris. He apprenticed as a hod carrier, then was a masonry contractor for Mountain Valley Masonry. He started a cash register Sales and Service company, Advanced Retail Systems. He continued to do small jobs in both areas until his last days. His creative and artistic side was demonstrated in his stone masonry, wood carvings, and love of music.

His greatest joy was his involvement with his boys, their wives, April and Jackie and his grandchildren, Hays, Leah, Lincoln, Bryson, and Briella. His life was characterized by care for others. He made relationships wherever he went. A cherished memory by many was his portrayal of Santa Claus for the last few years. He loved the work at Harmony School and believed in its ministry. He was involved with parents, children, and staff on many levels from repairing a broken toy to being a shoulder to cry on.

His faith was very important to him. Jesus was very personal and gave him hope every day. His greatest desire was to share that hope with others. So many will miss him as that beacon in their daily lives.
