Don Thomas Miller 85 of Windsor, CO passed away on the 5th of June, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Don was born January 18, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Don graduated from the University of Minnesota with a mathematics degree. Don was married to Ruth Miller for 46 years they lived in Europe and moved many times early in their marriage. Don and Ruth traveled the world together enjoying great adventures, Safari in Africa, swimming with dolphins and sharks, mountain climbing and riding donkeys down Molokai, balloon rides in Switzerland and many more.
Don had a very successful career in the Computer industry allowing him to retire at the age of 54. Don and Ruth retired to Bella Vista Arkansas in a golfing community with 7 golf courses and tennis which kept Don busy everyday.
Don and Ruth moved to Fort Collins Colorado where they lived on Ptarmigan golf course for almost 20 years. Ruth passed in 2003 and Don met Carol Monahan 2011, he was lucky to have met such a caring and loving woman in his life. Don and Carol committed to their relationship in July 2012. Don and Carol travelled to Europe a few times and to Hawaii every year for Christmas. Visiting family and previous living areas took them all around the United States in all directions. At home they enjoyed musical concerts at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Don was a very generous man to his family and community. Volunteering for various charities Dons pleasant personality with children and adults was contagious to everyone he met.
Don is survived by his partner Carol Monahan, son Paul Miller, daughters Heidi Levering and Suzanne McWay, sister Pat Holm, grandson Luke Miller, granddaughter Betsy Levering, niece Kirsten Holm, nephew Paul Gunovich, niece Carol Howden, nephew Beat Hoegger and extended family. Don was a loving father, partner, grandfather, and a friend to all.
