Alexander Bates Obituary

Alexander Allen Bates was born June 15, 1993, He passed away suddenly on May 6, 2021 at the age of 27. Alex is survived by his parents Poppy and Nate Bush of Colorado, his brother Tim (Veronica) Bush of Kansas, brother Zach Bush and sister Alyssa Upchurch both of Colorado. Alex is also survived by a large extended family, including grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his work family and friends.  Alex has spent the past few years working at Morning Star as well as Grace points assisted living facilities, he loved his career. He found that working with the elderly was his calling and continued to expand his education and obtaining certifications such as medication aide. Alex’s goal was to always help make the patients day “just a bit better”, one example of that was having wheelchair races with a resident in the memory ward (and always letting him win). Alex was always laughing and had a heart of gold; the type of guy you just wanted to be around. He took pride in always being there for you, it was said that he was “forever young and a child at heart”.  Alex will always be remembered as a jokester and a prankster, but always brought his A game to his job, this is where he was happiest. He will without a doubt be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
